Share Your Faith

So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. (John 13:14-17)

We’ve all heard the words “Time, Talent and Treasure.”  If you are interested in sharing your gifts at St. Lambert there are numerous opportunities that not only share your talents and faith but also help you grow and strengthen your own.

Read more about the opportunities below and then use the Stewardship forms to let us know how you would like to get involved in the parish.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Parish Office at 336-8808 and we will do our best to assist you.

Join a Church Ministry

Each week we can all come and experience the word of God during the Holy Mass but there also many liturgical ministries that allow you to play a role for others.

From greeting and ushering to proclaiming the Word of God as a Lector or distributing the Body and Blood of Jesus through the Eucharist there are numerous ways to participate.

Read about them all and find one that fit’s for you on the Adult  or Youth form.

Participate in Faith Formation

Use your faith to help others learn and grow.  At St. Lambert’s there are opportunities to share your faith and knowledge by leading and teaching prayer, catechist and study groups or support other groups such as Totus Tuus, Bible School or others.

Share your prayers

As Pope Gregory the Great once wrote “He causes his prayers to be of more avail to himself who offers them also for others.”

At St. Lambert’s there are Affiliated Prayer groups that are stronger through your participation but also help you strengthen your own faith.  These include:

  • Fatima Family Apostolate: Meets on Mondays at 6:30 PM in the Chapel for evening prayer and to pray the Rosary
  • Prayer Chain: Members of the prayer chain are asked by parishioners to pray for various needs.
  • Eucharistic Adoration: Eucharistic Adorers dedicate one holy hour of quiet, reflective prayer with Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament.

To learn more about or to join please refer to the Adult or Youth Stewardship form.

Help others

We are all called to see the face of Christ in others. At the same time, we are all called to let the light of Christ shine within us. Volunteering to help those in need and joyfully giving what we can to assist them is a wonderful way to fulfill both callings.

Many opportunities arise throughout the year through things like the Giving Tree but additionally there are on-going forms of outreach that St. Lambert’s Parish stays connected such as at The Banquet, St. Vincent de Paul and more.

Share Your Time and Talent

In addition to the opportunities already described there are many other ways for you to share your gifts.

Volunteering for various parish activities such as: Supporting weekend services with SFCS Certificate sales, serving at the Sunday Social and Supervising children at the nursery Or with Parish events including the: Spring Dinner, Rummage Sale or Turkey Bingo.

By becoming part of one of our important committees such as the: Vocations, Welcoming, Communications, Respect Life or others.

By joining of one of our parish groups such as:St. Anne’s Guild, Knights of Columbus or others.

Providing support in the office greeting visitors, with mailings, taking pictures or in many other ways
OR assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of the parish buildings and grounds.

Share Your Treasures

St. Lambert, like all parishes, depends entirely upon the material resources and generosity of its parishioners. Whether it be through material donations to the annual rummage sale or financial contributions we appreciate your generous support.

Thank you to everyone in advance for prayerfully considering your giving and please take advantage of Online Giving that is available at St Lambert Church.  Click here to learn more..
